FAQ
This page solely exists because I think every blog eventually needs one; a few things about me and this internet thing you might want to know before (or after) reading.
Some context, some answers. No pressure though!
1. Why did I start this blog in the first place?
Honestly? I just set my mind to it because I want to add more whimsy into my life. I've always been opinionated about lots of different things and in having a blog I'm directly creating an outlet to literally just yap about all things that spark some kind of interest in me.
2. Is there a main theme, or does it change?
To be quite honest, not really. I'm planning on writing about anything I like. Trust me, I've got lots of different interests and I would call going down random rabbit holes a hobby of mine by now. Once I jump in, there's no going back. If you do have recommendations about what I could write, definitely reach out and tell me, though!
3. Do you need to know the media/music/moments I write about to read the posts?
Nope, not at all. I do try to reference the things I talk about though, so you could always look them up, learn about them, and maybe go down one or two rabbit holes yourself!
About my writing
Hard question. I would say it is pretty personal considering I'm talking about my own views and opinions (yes, everything I say on here is actually what I believe). However, I'm not here to talk about my life too deeply; that I would rather do in my journal where you lot can't see everything.
Some are in the form of essays, some might be reviews in the future; wherever the wind takes me.
About music & media
Music still is and has always been my biggest passion. Wether it's about singing, listening to music, spending hours to perfect my playlists (this btw is the time for you to go to my Spotify profile and tell me what amazing music taste I have...jk) or just talking about it to explore new genres and artists. It's something I can genuinely always talk about because that's just how important it is to me...so why not annoy you lot with it as well?
It depends on the song and artist/band. Let me give you an example on two bands I love listening to. Whenever I put on Radiohead I get lost trying to find every tiny pattern they've got going on within their instrumentals. At the same time, listening to songs by Twenty One Pilots I tend to concentrate more on the lyrics and how they play into all the lore they've been building for years. So really whatever connection I have to the artists themselves determines what I look at more.
About updates & interaction
I won't bind myself to man-made concepts like time #fuckthesystem. Just kidding...I honestly just don't know though. I don't like to force art out of myself. There's really no way to tell at all; I could sit down and write three essays in a day all while forgetting to eat or drink anything in the process or I don't write one single sentence for five weeks. When the time is right, I will become my true inner artist.
Absolutely. I can't promise anything but go ahead, your thoughts might inspire mine!
I used to upload some of my poems to Wattpad when I was younger, and I believe they're still up somewhere but I unfortunately cannot be bothered to look up my username, so deal with that however you like. In case you do find them, let me know.
General
No. I own a journal that keeps my darkest secrets, I don't need to tell you everything.
12. Can you quote or share my writing?Sure! Just make sure you actually do quote me. I don't really see why you would though.
13. Do I aim for objectivity or personal interpretation? You can find that out for yourself while reading the things I produce, how about that? ;)
